PROJECT MANAGER

Job description

As a project manager you are responsible for coordinating and supervising the entire project. You set priorities, make decisions and the necessary adjustments. You independently monitor the progress, quality and budget of the project while alongside you we conduct the engineering, work preparation and purchasing.

You know projects thoroughly, supervise man hours, assess the planning, monitor the standardization and ask the critical questions. You analyze the needs of your team, provide a thorough overview, good feedback and know how to keep your team motivated. You have a coaching and facilitating role and create a professional environment within your team, which benefits the results.

You have extensive experience with yacht new builds or refits, as well as being a project manager with a passion for the superyacht industry. You are in your element when faced with complex technical challenges, and encourage you team to find solutions. You are analytically strong, practical and hands-on. Your perseverance allows you to communicate with the team in a proactive way. ‘Ownership of the project’ is of paramount importance therefore you do not ignore matters at hand. Within the team you are approachable, in addition you have a keen eye and feeling for creating and maintaining a good atmosphere. You dare to be critical but also aim to bring out the best in the team. Thinking in terms of processes, problem solving is required since you will be the representative of ICON towards the Owner’s Team.

Job requirements

-Bachelor’s degree in ship/yacht building, in addition at least 5 years of work experience as project manager in luxury yacht building

-Demonstrable experience with project management, standardization, planning and budget control

-You mastered Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing

PROJECT LEADER MECHANICAL SYSTEMS

Job description

As Project Leader Mechanical Systems you are responsible for an efficient and complete engineering package from the initial phase until completion.

The engineering is transferred to- and executed by production, within schedule. You have a leading role regarding the production process. You advise colleagues and are responsible for monitoring and guiding the planning within the given budget.

Tasks

-Collecting, analyzing and assessing relevant data from Specifications, Drawings, Norms and Standards in the field of Mechanical Systems

-Preparing purchase orders related to Mechanical Systems

-Assessing GA’s of Mechanical System spaces and other allocated spaces according to ISO System

-Ensuring the correct positioning of components on the yacht

-Creating and maintaining mechanical systems (or related) components

-Maintaining the project Drawing Register and the associated progress reporting

-Solving any problems that arise regarding deliveries (both technical-, and quality)

-Responsible for the mechanical systems, such as the engine room and other technical areas

-Checking the completion of spaces in regards to Mechanical Systems as well as coordinating with the other disciplines during the processing of the corresponding phases of the engineering and build

-Invite those involved for inspection/purchase

-Consulting working meetings

Job requirements

-Bachelor’s degree with a several years of relevant experience as a Project Leader Mechanical Systems

-You are experienced in working with MS Office and are well acquainted with AutoCAD.

-Good  at planning, delegating tasks and persuasiveness

-Good communication skills, analytical, proactive and cost-conscious

-You mastered Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing

-Independent and no 9-to-5 mentality

JUNIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job description

As a Junior electrical engineer you will work under the guidance of and be responsible to our Project Leader Electrical. You will be involved in the design and modification/renewal of all electrical systems onboard luxury yachts. Based on the wishes of the customer, you will work on new products, but also on reviewing/changing technical specifications in accordance with the agreed standards. You communicate clearly and easily with Suppliers and Subcontractors and towards our customers. Coordinating, supervising and in control of the work as well as monitoring the quality and delivery time of the projects. You are responsible for managing documents and updating the files.

Job requirements

-Education at least MBO 4 in the direction of electrical engineering or equivalent education

-Some experience in electrical engineering

-You are very good at MS Office and are well acquainted with AutoCad

-You mastered MS Office, mainly Excel and Word

-Practical insight and flexible working attitude

-Able to work accurately

-Good communicative skills

-You mastered Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing

-Eager to learn

TECHNICAL SERVICE EMPLOYEE

Job description

As an employee in technical service you are involved in the following activities.

-Keep all available tools, machinery and industrial installations in good condition

-Detecting errors

-Consulting diagrams, drawings and manuals

-Repairing or replacing (defective) parts

-Maintenance on equipment, check for corrosion, breakage

-Performing full or partial overhauls and modifications

Other activities involve:

-Providing necessary (shore) power to yachts and other floating equipment.

-Assisting mechanics of suppliers with the installation of new machinery and installments

-Making proposals for renewal, replacement, revisions and/or modifications

You think of the most efficient way of working in which you are aware that order and tidiness is very important.

Job requirements

-Education of at least MBO 4 in the direction of electrical- and/or mechanical engineering supplemented with relevant courses

-You have several years of work experience as an all-round technician in the production environment, with knowledge of mechanical and electrical matters

-You are stress-resistant, accurate, enterprising and have a problem-solving attitude

-Constantly focused on improving but also always in accordance with set quality standards

-Familiar with reading GA’s and diagrams

-Knowledge of methods of disassembling, assembling, repairing and overhauling parts

-Measuring tools, measuring techniques and being able to interpret the value

-Knowledge of lubricants

-Nen 1030/3140 certified (able to do inspections)

-All activities must be caried out very accurately and neatly

-In possession of VCA (SCC)
