Philanthropy
We established the need to integrate scientific research capabilities into our yachts in order to support and promote philanthropic initiatives dedicated to ocean exploration, conservation, and sustainability.
We are proud to go beyond traditional yacht-building by integrating laboratory and scientific research facilities into our yachts, while also considering the need for research staff’s accommodation, to offer a unique and unparalleled platform for scientists, researchers, and enthusiasts alike.
At ICON, we collaborate with our partners throughout the design process to create explorer yachts that are perfectly suited to support this opportunity to expand ocean research and exploration.
By involving experts in various fields, we ensure that our vessels facilitate data collection, experimentation, and analysis, enabling ground-breaking discoveries in marine biology, oceanography, and more.
Sustainability
Sustainability is our third fundamental value that permeates everything we do. We believe in responsible practices, eco-conscious design, and proactive measures to protect the environments we explore.
With a deep sense of responsibility, we strive to be at the forefront of sustainable innovation, setting new standards for the yachting industry towards preserving our planet for generations to come.
In recognition of our unwavering commitment to sustainability, ICON Yachts has been honoured with prestigious certifications from Lloyd’s Register. In 2021, we became the first Dutch shipbuilding company to be awarded ISO 14001 alongside our earlier ISO 9001 certification.
In this spirit of sustainability, we will continue to embrace the transformative power of conversions, breathing new life into existing vessels and minimizing the environmental impact of new yacht construction.
